Endowment — Invest in the Future

Endowed gifts are a permanent way to express your passion for and commitment to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Partnering with The Foundation for Minneapolis Parks enables you to create lasting programs, services and infrastructure that reflect the commonality of goals for the entire Park System.

An endowment functions as an investment vehicle. An initial gift is given to the foundation for an intended purpose. Then the interest earned is used towards the intended use of the fund. The principle is never utilized permitting the fund to be maintained in perpetuity.

Endowments can be created to support a variety of needs and/or interests. You may create an endowment for your favorite park, waterway, youth program, sport, music venue, arts event, or other programs. You may create an endowment in your name or that of a loved one.

The Foundation for Minneapolis Parks will assist you in creating your endowment fund to help make a lasting impression.
